Helping a Unicorn Rediscover its Magic

A few years ago, WeWork needed to redefine its story not just to the public, but to prospective employees. Once a high-flying startup, the company was entering a new era and needed a careers experience that reflected its evolving identity and future-facing goals.

Collaborating closely with WeWork’s internal team, we grounded the experience in their emerging brand platform, “Here We Will.” The result: a forward-looking careers site that’s more than a job board—it’s a reflection of WeWork’s reinvention, designed to attract agile, mission-aligned talent with a sense of adventure.

The Work

With a focus on user experience and content strategy, I helped create a more interactive and emotionally resonant way for job seekers to explore opportunities. My concept the WeWork Career Randomizer was designed to spark curiosity and broaden the candidate journey. With just a click, users receive a randomized snapshot of a role and location, then choose to dive into openings that match or roll the dice again. The mechanic encourages exploration while helping users imagine themselves in unexpected roles across the globe.

Why it worked

This project reinforced how the right combination of copy and interaction can shift a user from passive to curious. By creating a small moment of exploration, we invited people to see WeWork and themselves a little differently. That insight still shapes how I approach content strategy and design today. One bit of engagement can open the door to a whole new story for users and brands alike.
